Which Is More Important, Work Ethic or Talent? Sin City Cupcakes founder Lisa Song Sutton talks about what makes her business work.

By Business Rockstars

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

In this video from Entrepreneur Network partner Business Rockstars, you will get a closer look from Lisa Song Sutton, the founder of Sin City Cupcakes, on her ideas of natural talent versus work ethic when starting a business.

Sutton talks about her background of growing up in Arizona as part of a South Korean family before starting her business in Las Vegas. She sees her natural tendency to jump in and go for a new idea as an important trait. However, one piece of advice Sutton would tell herself is to practice some patience and listen to others more.

The entrepreneur also cites her upbringing for instilling in her the importance of working hard. For Sutton, work ethic is also one point that even trumps raw talent. She emphasizes that if you do not have the ability to put your nose to the grindstone -- even with an innate talent -- someone else could easily be waiting in the wings to take your place.
