Here's a new series on the big developments that took place in the APAC region over the past one week.

1. Japanese powerhouse Mitsui pumped in $30 million in the California-based Fitness Startup GOQii. The company plans to use the fund to enter Japan's healthcare market.

2. The Malaysian government is going all-out to promote green industries and jobs in the ASEAN countries. It is targeting revenue of ringgit 180 billion and creating over 200,000 jobs by 2030.

3. Flying cars are now a reality. During the China International Import Expo, Slovakian startup AeroMobil unveiled a concept flying car specifically designed for China.
